New Year Coding Camp 2024
Learn ABOUT code ON OUR DISCOVERY CAMP THIS JANUARY - AGES 9-12
Want your child to learn to code but not sure if they’ll enjoy it? Our online 3-day New Year Camp is the perfect opportunity to try it out! This Discovery Camp runs from January 3rd-5th and is open to both beginners and advanced coders aged 9-12. Classes runs for two hours each morning and students will have a chance to try a range of different coding challenges and activites tailored to their experience level.

NEW YEAR CAMP INFO
Our online coding camps are back this New Year! Students attending this Discovery Camp will learn a variety of coding skills through a mix of activities tailored to their knowledge and experience. Over the course of the 3 day camp students will have an opportunity to dig into some or all of Twine, Scratch, HTML, Bandlab and OpenProcessing, giving them a really great overview of what coding is all about or - for returning students - a really great few days of varied challenges and activities! At all times we’re also focusing on weaving in hands-on experience with life skills such as computational thinking, problem solving and creativity.
Small Groups
With just 6 students in most breakout rooms, students have a chance to get to know their tutors and their classmates. With such small groups there’s also plenty of access to help at all times throughout the course!
Live Tutors
Our Discovery Camps are led by the same expert team of full time and part time tutors who lead our term time classes. These include some of the top graduates and current students from computer science and computer engineering courses in Trinity College, UCD, DCU, NUI Maynooth and more!

COURSE CONTENT
New Students
New students will discover coding through an exciting mix of lessons in Twine, Scratch and HTML. These taster lessons are designed to give them a sense of what coding and technology are all about, and hopefully to spark a lifelong interest!
Current Students
Students who have previously attended our term time classes will work through an exciting range of challenges tailored to their ability level in Twine, Scratch, Bandlab and OpenProcessing.
