The Data We Collect About You
You currently are not obliged to give us any personal data in order to use most of our basic website.
When you sign up to our Newsletter we collect your name and email address.
We will collect the following personal data when you register your child for one of our courses:
Parent or guardian name,
Contact and address details,
Name, age and date of birth of student,
Any medical conditions or special learning needs the student has,
Current school and class attended,
Photographic consent,
Previous modules with us,
If the student is over 16 years of age, please ensure that you have their permission to share these details with us.
Online payments made to The Academy of Code are processed securely by Stripe and the information you provide is communicated in a strongly-encrypted format between Stripe and your bank or credit card company. The Academy of Code does not directly collect, process or store financial information.
The Academy of Code fully adheres to the provisions of The Data Protection Act 2018, which gives special protection to sensitive personal data which will include information relating to health or sex life, race or ethnic origin, political beliefs or membership, philosophical or religious beliefs, trade union membership and information about the commission of offences and related proceedings. You should only provide this information if it is required in response to a mandatory question on our websites, or if you are otherwise content for us to process this information.
