What students say about the course
Rated 6.45 out of 7 by past attendees
“As I'm starting to do LCCS for the LC, it's great to have a head start compared to going in completely blind come 5th year.”
“I feel it gave me a good starting point to begin learning Computer Science when I go into 5th year in September.”
“I thought the content covered in the crash course was very helpful. Our tutor clarified small details that I thought meant a lot in the Computer Science course, and especially the fact that the crash course gave insight to certain topics in more detail that my textbook partly overlooked. I also appreciated when I asked more advanced questions that in return I was given a knowledgeable explanation and response, even if the question was beyond the scope of the course or crash course.”
“The teachers were all very good at explaining each topic and encouraged us to ask questions and tried to make sure everyone knew what was happening”
How IS THE COURSE delivered?
Join our LCCS crash course from home (or anywhere!). Our online format is seamlessly delivered via Zoom meaning you can join our courses from wherever you have a computer/laptop and a good internet connection.
We like to keep our classes small, and this allows our live tutors to work directly with students, helping them through sample exam questions, theory, and practical testing. This course is a comprehensive and in-depth dive into all the relevant content a student will need to know for the leaving certificate computer science exam.
OUR TUTORS
All our expert tutors are computer science graduates or master degree holders themselves, and lead our regular term-time courses and coding bootcamps. Rest assured, you’re in good hands! Tutors will be on hand to help students with any issues or questions they haven’t been able to grasp during the regular academic year, and will ensure that students are more than adequately prepped for the return to school and the LCCS exam.
Please note this course is ONLY open to students sitting the leaving cert in 2026 or 2027 (we have other summer courses open to secondary students who want to code, but are not taking LCCS as a leaving cert subject).
All you need is a PC/Mac/Laptop, along with a mic and webcam (the webcam integrated in most laptops is more than sufficient).
The course runs for one week, from Monday, July 7th to Friday, July 11th. Classes run 9:30am - 12:30pm each weekday, with some independent work required between classes.
The price is €349 (Early bird €329) for the full course
